BrightFire's Supported Domain Name Policy

BrightFire supports a defined set of top-level domain names (TLDs) for registration, renewal, and management. This policy outlines which TLDs are eligible for our services and the responsibilities of customers who choose to use unsupported TLDs.

Included with an Insurance Agency Website subscription, customers can receive up to one (1) free domain name from a supported TLD. Additional domain names from supported TLDs may be purchased and managed by BrightFire for $30.00 per year. 

Supported TLDs

BrightFire will register, renew, and manage domain names for the following TLDs:

  • .COM

  • .NET

  • .ORG

  • .US

These TLDs are eligible for BrightFire’s free domain name program or may be purchased as additional domains.

Unsupported TLDs

Any TLD not listed above is considered unsupported. BrightFire will not:

  • Register a domain name from an unsupported TLD on behalf of a customer

  • Accept the transfer of a domain name from an unsupported TLD into our management

  • Renew or manage a domain name from an unsupported TLD in any capacity

Customers who choose to use a domain name from an unsupported TLD are solely responsible for all registration, renewal, and any other management tasks related to that domain name.

Examples of Unsupported TLDs

The following are examples of unsupported TLDs. This list is not exhaustive, as there are over 500 TLDs.

  • .AGENCY

  • .BIZ

  • .BROKER

  • .CO

  • .FINANCE

  • .FINANCIAL

  • .INFO

  • .INSURE

  • .SERVICES

BrightFire does not make exceptions to this policy for any unsupported TLDs, regardless of customer request or circumstance.

If an unsupported TLD is not configured correctly, renewed, or maintained by the customer, BrightFire is not responsible for any resulting website downtime, email interruptions, or other service disruptions.
